Be Not Afraid! The Office of Priestly Vocations sponsors several Discernment Weekend opportunities at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, for young men who would like to learn more about a potential call to the priesthood.

 

During a Discernment Weekend, you will have the opportunity to interact with the seminarians, be exposed to the seminary schedule, attend classes, discuss a priestly calling with other men like you, and, most importantly, spend time in prayer with the seminary community.

 

A Discernment Overnight is similar to a Discernment Weekend but is structured for young High School men who are 14 to 17 years of age.

 

There are no fees or obligations to come to a Discernment Weekend or Overnight. Attending a weekend or overnight is certainly not a commitment to enter the seminary. It is an excellent opportunity to take an honest look at the possibilities seminary life may hold for you.
