One Sows, Another Reaps - 2009 CSA

One Sows, Another Reaps
CHRIST CALLS US to examine our lives and reflect on how we can more fully participate as good stewards in the mission of the Church — a mission of preaching and teaching, serving and worshipping for the glory of God. The Catholic Services Appeal is an important way for us to answer Christ's call and renew our personal commitment to His work in the Church.

You may ask, How does the CSA benefit me? It touches us all in ways we may not realize. We are the Body of Christ, and the CSA funds ministries and programs that affect the lives of countless Catholics in southeast Michigan each year.

The theme of this year's CSA is One Sows, Another Reaps. Through the "sowing" of gifts to the CSA, many throughout the Archdiocese "reap" the benefits of the ministries and programs that are the work of the Central Services departments of Communications, Development, Education and Parish Life and Services, as well as the Vocations Office, Sacred Heart Major Seminary, the Metropolitan Tribunal and The Michigan Catholic newspaper. All are made possible by the CSA. When we make our annual pledge to the CSA, we join with all our sisters and brothers throughout the Archdiocese who gather in our Lord's celebration of the Eucharist to do the work that no one individual can do.

Please take a moment to read how gifts to the CSA have made a difference in the lives of some of our neighbors.
