Finding Your School Transcripts

To verify you attended or graduated from a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Detroit, you may request a transcript. Only the person whose name is on the transcript, or the parent of a minor child, may request a transcript. The transcripts are closed to research, including genealogical inquiries.

The Archives of the Archdiocese of Detroit has student transcripts from over 260 closed schools, both elementary and high school. To see if we hold the records of the school you attended, check the list of "Closed Archdiocesan Schools Records held by the Archives Office".

Some schools that closed did not transfer the student records to us.  Check the list of "Closed Archdiocesan School Records not held by the Archives Office" for information on where those records are held.

If we have the records from a school, you may request copies of your transcript. There is a charge for copies of transcripts. The average processing time for transcripts is five to seven business days, not including mailing time.
