Ms. Michelle A. Szczepanski

Ms. Szczepanski attended St. Mary's College in Orchard Lake Michigan receiving a Bachelors of Arts in 1979 and SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary earning a Masters in Religious Education in 1983. 
 
Ms. Szczepanski has served the Archdiocese of Detroit as a lay ecclesial minister for 30 years.  Her service has included Director of Religious Education, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Coordinator of Faith Formation for Adolescents & Families, Director of the Youth Leadership Department at the Catholic Youth Organization, Regional Coordinator for Leaders in Youth Ministry, member of the Archdiocesan DRE Certification Review Board, and an Educational Minister in Catechist Formation (EMCF) candidate.
 
Ms. Szczepanski began at the seminary in 1999 as the Director of Academic Affairs in the Institute for Ministry. She was promoted to the academic office as Assistant Dean of Studies, 2002-2008. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she served as academic advisor to undergraduate students.  Her committee assignments included the Institutional Assessment Committee, Chair of Undergraduate Commuter Admissions, and Chair to the AAM/Diploma Degree Committee.
 
She co-chaired the Institutional Accreditation Visitation of the Association of Theological Schools and the Higher Learning Commission in 2004.

She continues to be a part-time faculty member in the College of Liberal Arts at SHMS, while she serves as the Director of Faith Formation at St. Andrew Parish in Rochester, Michigan.
